Named for Mathilde Musson, Edgar Degas’ cousin, who lived in this wing of the house with her husband and their 3 children, the Mathilde Suite is a spacious and beautifully-appointed 2-bedroom Suite with private balcony overlooking historic Esplanade Avenue and Gayarre Park, beneath a canopy of massive live oaks. The master bedroom has a King Bed, and the second bedroom has a hand-carved Double Bed from Normandy. There is also a personal kitchen and a large, private bathroom with jetted tub/shower combination. The Mathilde accommodates up to 4 guests.
