The Pierre Room is located in the Garret on the third floor of Degas House. There are no windows as the room is built into the eaves of the house, making it extremely quiet, eliminating the noise of the city. Pierre was Rene and Estelle's first-born son, and Edgar Degas' nephew. The room is a subtle, sage green color, and its features include hardwood floors, a brass Queen Bed, a Twin Bed, and ceiling fan. Its furnishings include a dark wood dresser, armoire, and nightstand. This room has a spacious, open floor-plan. The large, private bathroom has tile flooring and a shower. The Pierre Room can accommodate up to 3 guests. For guests’ convenience, the room has a small refrigerator, wireless internet, iPod docking station with a clock radio, robes, a hair dryer, large screen TV and air-conditioning. Guests will be greeted with complimentary wine upon check-in. The overnight stay includes a delicious Creole breakfast each morning and a free Edgar Degas House Creole Impressionist Tour.
