Painting with Passion Classes at Degas House
"A Creative Journey into Degas' World of Art in New Orleans through the use of acrylic paint or chalk pastels".
Join us for art classes in Edgar Degas' art studio in New Orleans!
Edgar Degas once said "Painting is easy when you don't know how, but very difficult when you do." At Degas House, we are in no position to argue with the French Impressionist Master. In celebration of the soothing and blissful nature of amateur painting, Degas House proudly presents our "Painting with Passion" program. Held within the same walls where Degas painted some of the world's most adored masterpieces, this painting experience is a rare opportunity for artists and non-artists alike to come and be inspired where Degas was inspired!
Art instructor, Erin Druhan, BFA graduate of LSU, has taught since 1986 at various craft shops, as well as Cabrini High School in New Orleans. She was honored as Secondary Art Educator of the Year by the Louisiana Art Educator's Association.
The cost of the class is $100 per person, which includes materials, light hors d'ouervres and a glass of wine. Classes are two hours long and appeal to all ages.
We accept individuals, bridal shower and reunion groups and paint parties. To schedule classes, call Degas House 504-821-5009; or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Roundup your friends, family, and even co-workers for this one-of-a-kind experience, where we'll supply the paints, canvases, and brushes. All you need to bring is a friend or two, a little creativity, and an enthusiastic attitude.
