Things you may need to know before the class at Degas House:
Q: How much does an event cost?
A. The price of a regular 2 hour class is $40.00. However, we do offer a discounted group rate for parties exceeding twenty-five.
Q: When should I arrive for the class?
A. Class begins promptly at 6:30 pm. If you are 15 minutes late, you will not be allowed to join the class and must reschedule.
Q: Do I get to keep my painting?
A. Absolutely! As the culmination of your hard work and creativity, everything you paint at the painting class is yours to keep. We will even make sure it is dry before you depart for the night.
Q: Are reservations required?
A. Reservations are necessary. Please contact the Degas House directly to secure your spot - (504) 821-5009.
Q: Can you accommodate private parties?
A. Yes! We love hosting bachelorette parties, bridal showers, corporate retreats, etc. To book a private party, we request a minimum of fifteen confirmed attendees. For more information about private functions, please view our Private Party Policy.
Q: How do I reserve a spot?
A. To reserve your spot, we ask for credit card information in advance. We accept all major credit cards (with the exception of American Express). Cancellations must be communicated at least 24 hours in advance. In the case of a no show/no cancellation, the credit card used to book the reservation will be charged. However, guests can use other payments when they arrive.
Q: What should I wear?
A. We always recommend that guests wear something comfortable and, more importantly, something that they wouldn't mind spilling a little red wine on. Old T-shirts usually do the trick!
Q: Do you provide off-street parking?
A. Degas House has its own parking lot located one block away from the property itself. In addition, there is available on-street parking in front and along the side of the house.
