The Carrie Room is located in the Garret on the third floor of Degas House. There are no windows as the room is built into the eaves of the house, making it extremely quiet, eliminating the noise of the city. Carrie was the daughter of William & Mathilde Bell, and was Edgar Degas' second cousin. The Carrie Room has a Queen Bed, and private bathroom with shower. The room has a taupe and mauve color-scheme, and its features include hardwood floors, Queen Bed, dark wood armoire, two nightstands, and a ceiling fan. The large, private bathroom has tile flooring, and a shower. The room can accommodate up to 2 guests. For guests’ convenience, the room has a small refrigerator, wireless internet, iPod docking station with a clock radio, robes, a hair dryer, large screen TV and air-conditioning. Guests will be greeted with complimentary wine upon check-in. The overnight stay includes a delicious Creole breakfast each morning and a free Edgar Degas House Creole Impressionist Tour.
